Library cardholders can request library books, movies, and other materials online through the Library’s catalog (catalog.hmcpl.org) and have them delivered for pickup to the new locker inside the recreation center. When patrons are done with their items, they can conveniently return them to the locker for check-in.

The remote Library holds locker provides access to library materials in a safe, convenient location that is open for extended retail hours. This makes it accessible to patrons beyond the Library’s current scope of service. The locker will increase the opportunity for the community to connect with the public Library to support their educational and recreational needs.

The locker is accessible per the City of Huntsville Recreation Center's schedule; the locker is serviced per the HMCPL holiday closings calendar.
